The Marugg winery is located on the northern edge of the wine-growing village of Flsch. Around the village, the associated vines grow on various plots on the cone of the Flscher Berg and at the foot of the Falknis. The foundation stone for the winery was laid during the estate improvement at the end of the 1960s. In 1976, father Daniel Marugg made his first wine, which he bottled and marketed the following year. He quickly gained loyal customers and was able to continuously expand production. In 1995 Daniel and Monika Marugg took over the winery. The wines have been sold under the Bovel name since 1998. Bovel is a Romanesque field name and means ox pasture. The wine cellar is there. The main focus of the winery is Pinot Noir, which thrives very well in the climatic conditions on the gentle slopes of the Graubnden Rhine Valley. The red wine range is complemented by Merlot. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris are grown on the slate soils of the Flscher Halde. These wines are characterized by their freshness and minerality with a moderate alcohol content. The next generation with young winemaker Thomas Bernhard and the four children, who work on the winery in their free time, supports and complements Monika and Daniel Marugg on their mission.
