Producer Information Enrico Serafino is an historic Italian wine producer based in Canale d'Alba, an important center of the Roero district of the Alba region of Piedmont. It makes wines from a number of DOCs and DOCGs. The range includes red and white Roero wines, a number of Barolo and Barbaresco bottlings, and Gavi.Enrico The operation is also well known for its production of sparkling wines; it produces slightly sparkling Moscato d'Asti DOCG dessert wines; Brachetto d'Acqui, produced by the Charmat method; and a range of Alta Langa metodo classico wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.Enrico In 2005, Cantina Maestra was established to highlight and focus on the Roero and Alta Langa. The wines produced under this label are made with specially selected fruit from the estate's 12-hectare (30-acre) vineyard in Roero. The vineyard is planted to 4ha (10 acres) of Arneis, 6ha (15 acres) of Nebbiolo and about 2ha (5 acres) of Barbera on hillsides in Canale d'Alba. The business was founded by businessman and landowner Enrico Serafino in 1878. It was one of the first producers in Piedmont to sell its regional wines throughout Italy and abroad Enrico.
