Description:
TAISONG, a traveling rapper representing Kagoshima in southern Kyushu, has released his latest work in long-awaited analog format. The title is "Satsuma Kid. It contains 10 songs carefully selected from a total of 18 songs. Satsuma" refers to the Kagoshima/Satsuma Peninsula of that era. Yasutaka, who was born in this area, pays respect to those movies and novels, and this album is a work that represents Kagoshima with confidence, determination, and humor. This album marks a turning point for Yasutaka as an artist. While a polyp was found in his throat and he was forced to suspend his live performances at the site, which is one of his most attractive points, he created this album with his family and friends and put his SOUL (soul) into it. Unlike the previous album, Yasutaka is fully supported by a wide range of producers, beginning with the solitary guitarist SOU, as on the CD album, and then singing travel with PENTAXX.B.F., and a chance encounter with JUNNOS, one of the best singers in Japan. The album title with OWLBEATS, a beat craftsman representing Kagoshima, and a song with hiatoh, also from Hioki, Kagoshima, boldly sampled that hardcore band. The song with MAHBIE, an ally, invites a singer from Hyuga, Mr. Hou, and is led by his gentle and divine voice, and shakes the heart. With CogaAtsushi from Saga, he sings about his trials as a rapper, describes his present and future with his children, and sings about the days to come. The spiritual sound of Michita, who fully produced the previous album, closes this album with the 18th track, a soulful song with Jyan Coelacanth about the encounter with Hyakunenju and an old house as a new family dwelling place, opening a new lifestyle for Taison. Yasutaka is probably one of the one and only rappers who expresses the real words of his family, friends, and encounters and experiences on his travels as words on sound. This heartwarming album, born in the sunset town of Hioki in Kagoshima, Kyushu, can be recommended as an album to listen to with family, friends, and colleagues amidst the current commercial music. The artwork for this album was created by Naoto Yamakawa, a cartoonist well known for his characteristic style in his famous work "Another Cup of Coffee.
